Today Huntington Town Councilwoman Joan Cergol was notified by the Board of Directors of the Long Island Environmental Voters Forum that she was unanimously endorsed for election to the Huntington Town Board.
LI Environmental Voters Forum Executive Director David L. Reisfield wrote, "We find that you are the preferred candidate in the 2019 election for Huntington Town Council. Yours is the only endorsement we have made in the local Huntington elections. We know that we can count on you to support both a healthy environment and a healthy economy, together."
The Long Island Environmental Voters Forum is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization created to identify, recruit, endorse, support, train and actively campaign for pro-environment candidates for public office.
"Our group is pleased to endorse you for election," Reisfield said.
"As a fierce advocate of our waterfront and environment I am thrilled to have earned this important endorsement," said Joan Cergol. "I will continue to work tirelessly to advocate for and protect our environment for present and future generations.
